Saturday 9th February saw Sheffield University Rowing Club return to one of our favourite local races South Yorkshire Head in Doncaster, affectionately known as 'Donneh International'. Despite the snow apprehending our training the crews were ready to race against local clubs and Universities. An early start in the dark for the 42 competitors, an all too regular occurrence for rowers. We arrived first, and got the boats rigged and ready to go for an exciting day of racing was ahead of us.
